This was our first time camping on Long Island, NY. We drove in on a Friday at rush hour, the traffic was horrible. The state park was very nice, our site was large and we were put in an area that was closed off so we had lots of room. Our trip here was to visit DH Uncle that was in town celebrating his 70th birthday and to catch up with family that had not been seen in over 15 years. It was like a mini family reunion. Like most reunions and birthdays their was plenty of food to go around.

Aunt Judy did a great job with all the food that she made from scratch. Uncle Donald was up visiting from North Carolina and Aunt Judy had also special ordered a sandwich made for him in the shape of his age (70). We had some competative bocce ball games in the back yard and the kids had a great time running around.It was alot of fun seeing everyone and the day went by way to fast. Hopfully it will not take so many years to get everybody back together again.
