April 1st we decided to de-winterize the camper at about 5:00pm. We got the camping bug
and decided to call Briarlee Campground which was opening that weekend and see if they had a site
available, and they did. The next few hours were a blur as we packed the camper in record time.
We were in our site by 9:00pm. The power hookup on the site was not working so we
hooked up to the site behind us that was empty.THe power was fixed the next day. It was Easter
weekend and the campground had alot of activities for being so early in the season.

DS received a magnesium fire starter for his birthday and gave it a try. He collected
very small, medium and large tinder from the site. His first attempt did not work but
try two was a success and he is confident he could make fire if he needed to. The campground had alot of
new actities being added for this season. A few were open this weekend including the RC race track. DS won his heat.
They also had the batting cage open this weekend which we were not so great at. Things that were going in were mini golf, wiffle ball stadium
and a splash pad.

It was great to get the camper out and start the season early. We did alot of bike riding and hacky sacking this weekend.
We could not have asked for better weather.
Cooler at night in the 40s and in the upper 70s during the day. We really enjoyed this campground and think we have found our new
spring camping destination.
