The Beach Camping Area was our last campground on our 2 week trip. We didn't waste any time going to the sites. We pulled in, set up the camper, and headed straight for Mt Washington Auto Road. The weather was really clear and we wanted to have a great view from the top...and we did. It was cold (47f) and windy (50mph) and the ride up the mountain was scary and spectacular all in one. The next day was shopping day in North Conway. DS and DH dropped DW at the Mall Outlet and she shopped till she dropped while the boys poked around North Conway. We met back up later and went out to dinner at the Muddy Moose.
The following morning we went to Attitash. They have the longest Alpine Slides in America. DS had a blast going down the water slides (About 50 times). Next we visited Diana's Bath which was like a natural water park. It had waterfalls you could swim in and slides made out of rock.

Our last full day at the campground we decided to go back over to Franconia Notch and do our longest and hardest hike ever. We headed out at about 7:00am and it was an hour ride to get there. The first path was Bridle Path which took us to
Greenleaf AMC Hut. From there we continued to the summit of Mt. Lafayette (5260') From here you walk the rigde down and back up to the summit of Mt. Lincoln (5089'). The view was not very good because it was very foggy that day. Next we headed to the last summit of Little Haystack (4840'). The final decent down the mountain was on the Falling Waters trail which was really steep. It took us about 3 hours to go 3 miles down the final stretch. We reached the car at 8:00pm and it was getting pretty dark. DS did a great job. The hike was about 8 miles long and was a great accomplishment for the family. This trip was filled with many memories that will last a lifetime.
