Our first Halloween adventure, we spent at Witch Meadow Lake Campground in Salem, Connecticut.
This campground really knows how to do a Halloween weekend, but then again with a name like
Witch Meadow Salem I think they are in constant Halloween. There street names are hex ave or
spider web way... On Saturday they had most if not all campers were decorated, and at 4:30 children
and adults got into costumes and met at the rec hall. from there the went to the store were they
received a treat and then everyone was let loose to go trick or treating. I dressed up and
scared quite a few kids =) and some adults too. At 7:30 they had a dance with a DJ and a costume
contest. I didn't win =(

We borrowed my dads canoe and had a great time on the lake the first day it was a little choppy
but the next day it was almost like glass. We tried fishing but didn't catch anything although
everyone we talked to said they caught something. We still had a great time paddling around.
This was also our first time closing down a campground. This was there last weekend open for the
2006 season. What a bummer. We had a great time this year and we are looking forward to maybe
one more trip they year.
