This was Columbus Day weekend and we went to our first summer rally at Danforth Bay in New Hampshire. The trip started out a little rough. It was suppose to be a 4 hour ride but the traffic was very heavy and it ended up taking 6 hours to get there. Our sites power was not working but we were able to hook up to our neighbors poll so it worked out fine. The first night we all hung out by the fire and had hot dogs, burgers and homemade clam chowder. We saw alot of familuar faces and met a few new families.

This was a great relaxing weekend. The campgrounds was having Halloween weekend so their was alot going on. Saturday we slept in and DS and DH carved a pumpkin. It really came out great! It was a pumpkin eating a pumpkin. Saturday was the rally potluck dinner and their was so much food. We brought chili and lemon square cookies. Saturday was also trick or treating we all dressed up. DS was a scary scarecrow, DW was a cavegirl and DH was a werewolf. DS went trick or treating and got alot of candy, we had a blast.

Sunday DS and DW went on a John Boat with Liz and Steve on Lake Ossapee. It was very windy out but the water was pretty calm in the canals leading up to the lake. Once we reach the lake it became really rough. The waves were like 3 feet high with white caps. The boat was riding to the tops of the waves and dropping down. We didn't stay on the lake too long. DS also went swimming in the heated pool. It was a cold day but the pool was pretty warm.

The campground also had a haunted house set up in the lake house. They did a really great job and were able to scare me a few times. We had a great time at the rally. The campground was very clean and had great rates for the holiday weekend. The sites were a little tight in the safari field but it worked out good with a big group. We are planning on returning here next year for the summer rally again.
