This was our first time camping 4th of July weekend. DH sister has a big 4th of July party every year so we decided to go camping in her area. We pulled into Wells State Park and the ranger's first question was "What site are you on?". I guess they don't see rigs our size that often coming into the park. The site we were on ended up being very large and level but most of the sites in the campground were for tents and pop-ups. We were the only Class A in the park.

Saturday morning DH's parents stopped by the camper to visit. They had never been in the new camper with the slides out. They were impressed by how much extra room slides give you. We all headed out to the 4th of July party at 12:00pm. It was a relaxing day full of LOTS of food, drinks, family and friends. We look forward to this gathering every year. We hung around until around 11:00pm to watch the fireworks over the lake and light a few fireworks ourselves.
This camping trip was also the most we had ever drained the batteries. They went down to 75% (which isn't too low but the lowest for us) because we were in heavy tree cover with over cast days, we ran the generator to charge them back up. Sunday was very relaxing. We slept in late, went bike riding and swam in the lake. Sunday night we watched some movies and packed most of the camper to leave early in the morning. DS started basketball camp Monday morning so we were on the road by 8:00am. Another great family trip.
