Today is the day we start our longest trip yet, 9 days and four parks. We arrived at Wickham Park around 6:30pm. Our site was large and wooded and backed up to a pond with geese in it.

On Saturday, Oh what a day! We headed out early and did 2 Geocaches. Then, we went to see all the homes and schools of my childhood. Then, we visited one of my favorite childhood beaches and played in the waves. Next, we headed back to Wickham Park to swim in the lake.

While Jacob was swimming, Jon noticed smoke in the direction of the campground. We could see flames at first on the other side of Wickham Road and then realized the fire had crossed the road and was in Wickham Park where we were camping. We headed back to the camper and started getting it ready to leave. Moments later, a ranger on a bull horn drove through the campground informing everyone it was a mandatory evacuation and to get out.
We headed down the road not knowing where we were going. We decided to head toward our next destination in Titisville. It was after hours for our next campground but we pulled in to see if they had anything available and they did. That night on the news, we saw the Wickham Park fire. It said that over 200 acres had burned. It went on to say that tents and campers were damaged or burned in the campground because they were not moved in time.
