We left Manatee Hammock and headed toward Daytona Beach Campground. We set up our campsite and headed to the beach. It was neat driving on the beach with the car. The water was cool but refreshing. There were millions of these little shells that would wash up on the shore and then bury themselves back under the sand. After the beach, we did a little more Geocaching and saw more of the area. Back at camp, we went and did some laundry that was starting to really pile up.

The following day, we went to Daytona International Speedway. We took the tour of the race track and visited victory lane. The iMax 3D theater was a great experience. It was a 3D movie talking about how the Daytona 500 started with moonshine runners and how it has become as big as it is today. Jon and I also raced each other at Acceleration Alley. Needless to say.........Jon kicked my butt! That night, we went out to eat at Applebees and returned to the camper and watched King Kong on DVD. We thought the remake was petty good.
In the morning, we headed out to our final campground on our journey. At the exit of Manatee Hammock, we decided to fill the propane tank for the first time in two years. It was a lot cheaper than we thought it would be. It was $2.00 per gallon and it ended up costing $29.00 because the tank was still 1/4 full.
