We were excited for another journey and DW called to make reservations at Forest Lake RV Resort in Zephyerhills. She was told we would have a nice wooded site with shade. We set off on our journey to Forest Lake. It was pouring down rain and real gusty out. The RV felt like a sail in the wind. When we arrived at Forest Lake, we were very disappointed in the campground there was no forest and no lake. Our site had the one and only tree in the resort. We ended up leaving right away and found ourselves down the road at Hillsborough River State Park. This place had a forest and a river but they could only accommodate us for one night.

The first night, it rained most of the night so we hung out inside the RV and played cards and watched TV. In the morning, we ate breakfast and went for a bike ride. When we returned, we were shocked to see water pouring out the side of the RV. The pedal on the toilet was stuck partially down and the water kept running until the black tanks was full and then out over the top of the toilet. It was clean water but still a mess. The carpet was soaked! I called the ranger station and they let us use their wet/dry vac. The rest of the morning was spent cleaning up the carpet.

Because there were no other sites available, we headed to Bay Bayou 30 minutes down the road.
